SITE DESCRIPTION:
Approved by the Public Utility Commission in 2016 and completed in November that same year, Camp Ripley's collaborative project between Minnesota Power and the Minnesota National Guard is the largest solar energy installation at any National Guard Base in the United States. Covering 80 acres of under-utilized government property, the project provides Minnesota Power with about one third of the state's mandated solar requirement.

Tour will be conducted outside and is subject to weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Standing without shelter for periods of time will occur. CLOSED-TOED SHOES ARE REQUIRED. Ground is uneven and subject to weather.

All Participants must bring a Government Issued ID with them the day of the event. This includes: Driver's License or Passport-official ID must include a photograph for reference.
